The slot that actually fits
We spent most of this week watching the extension work on real pages - real people, real Calendly links, real calendars with dentist appointments and school pickups tucked into them. It turns out the best scheduling tool is one that already knows what you cannot say out loud.
What we shipped
Version 0.4.0 landed Tuesday with a longer list than we planned. The accent color picker started as a two-hour experiment and somehow became the feature most people mentioned first. The new provider support - SavvyCal, Zoho, Salesforce Scheduler, Zoom - rounds out the list of links people actually send. The rankings now factor in everything in your rules, not just your declared hours.
What we are thinking about
Scheduling friction is strange because it is invisible until you remove it. The calendar sees your conflicts; the person sending you a link does not. Venn is most useful exactly at that gap. We keep coming back to the question of how much of that gap can close before the other side needs to do anything at all - before the install, before the sign-in, before the first mutual slot appears.
What is next
The extension's Google Calendar support is still rough on edge-case page layouts. That is next week's priority. Alongside it: a first pass at the guest-side experience, so the person on the other end of your link also gets a ranked view rather than a plain grid. The mutual-slot vision only completes when both sides can see what the other cannot.
